Reminder texts that send themselves

You sent the invoice. A week goes by. Nothing. Chasing it means writing an awkward message you don't want to send, so it sits there. Workeey takes that off you. Turn on reminders for an invoice and Workeey texts the client on a schedule — a nudge, then another, then another — until the invoice is paid or you switch the reminders off. Every text carries a link to the invoice, so paying takes the client a minute from their phone.

The texts go out on their own in the background. You don't have to open the app or press send. An invoice that's already been paid never gets a reminder, and the second the money comes in — through the pay link, marked paid by you, or matched to a deposit in your bank — the nudges stop. A client who has paid you never gets a pushy text the next morning.

When they go out

You set the rhythm. The first reminder goes out a set number of days after the invoice's due date, then again every same number of days until it's paid — every week by default, and anywhere from every day to every four months if that suits the customer. Each invoice gets at most eight automatic reminders, so nobody is chased forever.

Texts only go out in the daytime, between 10 in the morning and 7 in the evening, Eastern time. A reminder that falls due at night waits for the morning, so your client never gets a payment text at eleven at night and never thinks less of you for it.

Send one now, or later today

Sometimes you don't want to wait for the schedule. Open the invoice and send a reminder right now with one tap. Or pick a time instead: in three hours, this evening, tomorrow morning, in three days, or a time you choose. A send-now tapped late at night waits for the morning rather than waking anyone up.

You can do the same from the invoice card on your dashboard, or just tell the AI — "text a reminder for invoice 12". It shows you the message first and only sends when you tap Send.

One wording, in your tone

The words are yours. Pick a tone — friendly for the regulars you just need to jog, short when a long message would get ignored, firmer for the ones who let it slide every time. Or type your own wording, or ask the AI to rewrite it, by typing or by talking into the mic. Workeey fills in each client's first name, the invoice number, the amount and the link, so one wording works for every invoice.

Change the wording on one invoice and it changes for all of them, and in Settings too — you set it once, not customer by customer. Which invoices get chased is still your call: reminders switch on or off one invoice at a time, so the big commercial job can stay quiet while the one that's always late gets the full rhythm.

STOP means stop

Before your first reminder goes out, Workeey asks you to confirm your clients have agreed to get texts from you. The first text a number receives ends with "Reply STOP to opt out". If the client replies STOP — or unsubscribe, cancel, end or quit — that number is never texted again by any reminder until they reply START. A reply of HELP gets an automatic answer.

That's the part the phone carriers care about, and it's the part your customers care about too: a reminder they can switch off is a reminder that never feels like harassment.

How many you get on each plan

Reminders are counted per month. On the Free plan you get 10 automatic reminder texts a month, which covers a lot of one-person operations that only bill a handful of jobs. Pro raises it to 30 a month, and on Premium they're unlimited.

A reminder is one text going out. Ten a month doesn't mean ten invoices — it means ten nudges in total, and most invoices get paid after one or two. If you're brushing the limit often, that's usually the sign it's time to move up a plan. See what each tier includes on the pricing page.
