Your rates do the pricing

An estimate is only as good as the numbers behind it, so Workeey starts from yours. Set your rates once: your hourly rate, what the first hour costs, your call-out charge, travel, an uplift for evenings and weekends, your markup on parts, and the deposit you ask for up front. Every estimate after that is priced the way you would price it yourself, not from someone else's national average.

Then describe the job the way you'd explain it to the customer — typed, or spoken into the mic: swap a forty-gallon water heater, new shut-off valve, haul the old one away. The AI turns it into line items — labour, parts, call-out — priced from your rates. You can change any line, add your own, or delete what doesn't belong before anyone sees it.

Parts priced from the web, at your markup

Parts are the part of a quote that takes the longest to look up. Workeey looks them up for you: it searches the web for the part, keeps only a price it can actually see on the store's page, and adds your markup on top. A price it can't confirm is left for you to fill in rather than guessed. Prices are remembered for a month, so the fittings you quote every week come back instantly.

Lines you type yourself are remembered too. Add a disposal fee or a permit once, with its price, and it comes back as a one-tap choice on your next estimate, at the price you charged. There's no price list to build first — your book builds itself from the quotes you actually write, and anything you no longer charge can be forgotten with a long press.

When the numbers look right, send the quote. Workeey lays it out as a clean PDF with your business name, the client, every line, the total and the deposit you're asking for. Share it straight from your phone — by text, WhatsApp, email or whatever the client uses — or download it to keep. The client gets a real document to say yes to, not a number scribbled on the back of a card.

The estimate still lives inside the job, which is the point. You aren't keeping a quote in one place and a job in another, wondering which is current. Ask it to change a line, add the deposit or knock ten percent off, and it does.

It's a starting point you react to, not a replacement for your judgment. You know your market and what your time is worth on a Saturday; the AI just gets you to a clean, itemized number in the time it takes to say the job out loud.
